Feds say employers may fire employees found to have used medical marijuana, regardless of state law.

A federal court in New Mexico has affirmed the right of employers to fire employees found to have used state-approved medical marijuana.  Even where state law permits the use of medical marijuana, the court ruled that employers may fire employees who use the drug – so long as they have a properly written, communicated, and enforced policy against the consumption of marijuana (and any other cannabinoid/THC compound).  See more in this SHRM article.
