Dave's Bio

The man behind the machine

Dave Carter is a talent management/human resources expert leading a new, boutique consulting shop providing strategic and operational counsel and solutions for a wide range of people issues.

He has a well-honed business acumen, which serves to significantly enhance the speed and efficiency with which he is able to collaborate with leaders to resolve their issues. He enjoys nothing more than making connections with people where they work, whether in an office or out where products are being produced or services are being provided. Where he excels is then helping the right people to leverage their existing skills and abilities to build the specific capabilities of the business, however small or massive the scale.

Experience at work

Dave has worked across the United States and Canada helping business leaders resolve HR/talent issues, both large and small, in businesses with annual revenues ranging from several hundred thousand to several billion dollars.

Prior to forming EndevHR, Dave amassed 20 years of comprehensive experience in Human Resources Management, serving as a Senior Leader in multinational companies such as Oldcastle Precast and Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope. He has also held a variety of Chief of HR and Senior Director roles in large healthcare organizations, including the Community Health Network, Howard Regional Health, and Parkview Hospitals. During his tenure in those businesses, he drove HR, talent, and leadership initiatives ranging from work-unit based improvement to system-wide strategic shifts—all in close partnership with executive, mid-level, and shop/floor-level colleagues.

Dave has his Bachelors Degree in Industrial Psychology from Butler University (Indianapolis, IN) and his Masters Degree in Management with a concentration in Industrial Relations from the Krannert Graduate School of Management (Purdue University). He and his wife Jill have lived in a variety of locations across North America.   This past year, they have relocated back to the Greater Pacific Northwest to, in their off time, enjoy their extended family and the variety of spectacular recreational and cultural pursuits the region has to offer.
